Twenty countries, including Denmark, have joined forces with a group of billionaires at the climate summit meeting COP21 in Paris to further global investments in green and renewable energies.

Head of DTU Energy, Professor Søren Linderoth, was invited to comment the initiative at TV2 News in the program NewScience under the theme: Can batteries save the climate.

Here Søren Linderoth explained about research in energy technologies in general and in batteries, electrolysis and energy storage in particular. He gave the viewers an insight into energy storage, how CO2 from biomass can be used for production of hydrogen and synthesis gasses for fuel production.

“Pure alchemy”, proclaimed an impressed news anchor Anne Skare Nielsen.
