Professor Frederik C. Krebs, previously heading polymer solar cell research at DTU Energy, has taken over as CEO of the startup company infinityPV.

Professor Frederik C. Krebs, who previously headed the polymer solar cell effort at DTU Energy and one of the leading scientists in the field, has taken over as full-time CEO of infinityPV.

InfinityPV is a Danish developer and manufacturer of printed solar cells, as well as materials and test equipment for printed electronics. The company was founded in 2014 by Frederik C. Krebs, and other colleagues, at DTU Energy.

“I am really happy and look forward to dedicating all my time to the technology that I have worked on for 18 years”, Frederik C. Krebs states. “We have achieved high efficiencies and good lifetimes, but we will continuously encounter challenges as we scale the technology.”

Frederik C. Krebs believes that these new challenges are best met in the private sector.

“I want to make infinityPV realize the full potential of organic photovoltaics and printed solar cells and I want to enable anybody to manufacture, implement, and disseminate this technology in the right way”, says Frederik C. Krebs.
