Hy-Spire

Development of the next generation of solid oxide electrolysis

Objectives of the Hy-Spire project

About the project

From renewables to the production of hydrogen

The Hy-SPIRE project will aim at increasing the performance of the solid oxide stacks through the development and application of new materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and optimized cell and stack designs. Furthermore, the project aims at further boosting the potential of solid oxide electrolysis by lowering the operating temperature below 700°C, and increasing its flexibility in order to fit with RES generation profiles.

Type of project

Eu project , The project is supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and its members Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe Research, under grant agreement No 101137866.
