DTU Energy invites companies and partners to participate in the department’s annual PhD symposium. The venue of the symposium is DTU’s meeting centre, building 101A, Anker Engelunds Vej 1, 2800 Kgs. Lyngby. The registration deadline for other than DTU Energy participants is 13 November 2017.
Come and meet the department’s PhD students who present their research activities within the field of sustainable energy technologies by either an oral or a poster presentation. Participants from industry also get the opportunity to give poster presentations of their companies.
The symposium will be kicked off by Head of Department Søren Linderoth, followed by presentations by two former PhD students from DTU Energy: Jonathan Højberg from Haldor Topsoe A/S and Mie Møller Storm from Novo Nordisk A/S. These presentations will be followed by two tracks of oral presentations and two poster sessions where the department’s current staff of PhD students – i.e. about 50 PhD students – will present their work.
The symposium will cover the newest research within the department’s strategic technologies: fuel cells, electrolysis cells, solar cells, batteries, gas separation membranes, flue gas purification, caloric cooling and heat pumps, thermoelectric generators, and superconductors – and our many competences on materials synthesis and processing, electrochemistry, imaging and structural analysis by microscopy, X-rays and neutrons, atomistic and mesoscopic modelling, functional materials – and more.
You can read more about the PhD symposium here, including the preliminary programme and the registration details. The final programme, including overviews of the PhD students’ oral and poster presentations, will be available at the end of October 2017.
