Continued education

At DTU Energy we are dedicated to lifelong learning to contribute to transforming scientific achievements into reality, enabling society to benefit from them.
We have a wide range of educational offers on themes closely related to the research topics at DTU Energy: Batteries, fuel cells, Power-to-X, electrolysis, thermal energy storage etc.
Our primary target groups are engineers, technicians, managers, teachers, students and pupils, though we are always open to tailoring our offers to any interested parties.
Read more about our different offers and initiatives below.
Courses
We offer both formal (ECTS giving) and informal courses aimed at making continued education flexibly available for the workforce. New offers are continuously developed. Currently the following are available:
- Flexible master in Power-to-X (60 ECTS)
- MOOC: Coursera online course Hydrogen: Key Concepts and Use in Green Technologies
Workshops on demand
We are open to developing tailored workshops on demand targeting your audience, context, and thematic interests. In the past we have, for example, held workshops tailored to the needs of high school teachers, and workshops based on specific inquiries from companies.
Examples of themes:
- Power-to-X
- Introduction to Solid Oxide Cell Technology
- Brint og brændselsceller
Projects and collaborations
To contribute to transforming scientific achievements into reality, we are dedicated to taking part in educational projects. Examples of projects we are taking or have taken part in:
If you have a project or an idea for a project where we could partner up, please reach out. Currently we are very interested in supporting the Danish “erhvervsskoler” (VET) on the development of Power-to-X and energy related modules.
Communication & outreach
We enjoy meeting and disseminating knowledge for a wide audience. For example, we participate in Naturmødet in Hirtshals, Denmark, and every year several of our researchers take part in “Forskningens døgn” (Danish Science Festival) and other public events.
If you have an opportunity where you think it could be relevant to invite one of our researchers to do a talk, please reach out.
Educational materials
We have developed educational materials that might be of interest to teachers and disseminators of themes related to energy conversion and storage and energy transition.
- Introduction to fuel cells and electrolysis
- The Hydrogen Game
- Youtube channel
We collaborate with DTU Learn for Life where you can read more about everything related to lifelong learning at DTU.
